Founder and Visionary

Cristina Casares, a visionary entrepreneur and real estate professional, is the driving force behind the Alegria Foundation, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of New Zealand’s youth.

Born in Argentina, Cristina’s journey to New Zealand was more than a geographical shift; it was a life-altering exploration of new horizons. Settling in the welcoming embrace of Grey Lynn, she discovered not only the beauty of her surroundings but also a profound appreciation for the essence of Auckland’s vibrant allure.

With a fervent passion for real estate, Cristina has dedicated herself to helping clients achieve their dreams in the diverse communities of Ponsonby and its surroundings. Beyond the realms of property transactions, she has always been deeply committed to making a positive impact in her community.

Inspired by her own love for windsurf foiling and the transformative power of outdoor activities, Cristina founded the Alegria Foundation. Her vision is clear—to empower youth facing mental health challenges by providing them with opportunities to engage in outdoor activities that bring happiness, joy, and resilience.

Cristina’s philanthropic endeavors extend beyond the foundation, as she has been actively involved in various charitable causes, from supporting the homeless to advocating for mental health awareness. Her commitment to Alegria and other organizations speaks volumes about her dedication to causes that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

As the founder of the Alegria Foundation, Cristina strives to create a supportive community that not only addresses the mental health challenges faced by young individuals but also fosters an environment where they can thrive and discover the transformative potential of outdoor experiences.

Join Cristina on this inspiring journey of bringing happiness, uplifting spirits, and creating a brighter future for New Zealand’s youth with Alegria Foundation.
